Below you shall find some answers to a couple of general questions on how we handle and deal with
things.

Payments & Accounts

How accounts are set up

Payment for all sales must be made prior to the shipping of the goods unless arrangements for an account have been organized. Accounts are strictly 30 days from the date of the invoice. Goods will not be shipped to accounts with overdue amounts. To organize an account please contact us.

Current accepted payment methods

We currently only accept direct deposits or cheques at the moment. If you need to make a payment please contact us for our bank details.

Is there a minimum order

A $10 handling charge will be added to any order under $200 (before Taxes), backorders excepted

Shipping

How we ship locally

Locally we ship with TNT/FedEx and Australia Post (for one item orders), although we are always endeavoring to have cheaper contract rates. Freight is charged ex-warehouse. Purchasers are welcome to visit and pick up or organize pickup.

International

Internationally we will organize a freight quote with our customs broker to deliver the goods via air freight or sea freight. After you make your choice of what option is preferable, the order would be processed accordingly. Purchasers are welcome organize pickup.

Orders

Stock levels

With most new stock we will be able to give you a reasonable idea through the website, if you contact us we can give you a more exact idea. But for all old or surplus stock, exact quantities are unknown. If you wanted to enquire about these stock levels, quantities would most likely only be available in pallets or cartons.

Quality of goods

Whilst we attempt to keep a high level of quality for all new products coming into our warehouse. The stock that we have had on hand for a period of time may be lacking the modern packaging touches such as proper barcoding, labels, and being sealed in plastic. This may mean dust marks may be on some items. We endeavor to never send out an item that cannot be cleaned to a state of being new.

Quality of surplus goods

Old or surplus stock which by nature/age is more likely going to be harder to get the highest quality. But rest assured with these kinds of goods we would make sure that you are well aware of the exact conditions to minimize trouble for everyone.

Returns & Warranty

Please contact us with any issues. John Star Pty Ltd reserves the right to replace or repair the fault. Warranty is on faulty manufacture or materials only and does not include damage due to use or abuse. As the first step please call us or email pictures of the fault, so that we may track any issues properly. Please do not self apply credits to your invoice.
